Wrong email address when de-activating Digital Editions

Hello,

How can I de-activate Digital Editions 4.0.3 when the email address that pops-up on the de-activation screen is not mine? I've tested the desktop version with a friends email address but we do not remember the password and therefore, cannot de-activate to re-activate with my own email address.
