2018 Update Bugs

After a year of smooth sailing with Adobe products in 2017,  I recently installed the 2018 updates. BIG MISTAKE. There are some deal-breaker usability issues with Audition, Premier and After Effects.  I thought I'd report my experience; curious if anyone else saw these bugs

  • PR - The hover / scrub function was completely unresponsive. I'm referring to the pop-up hand avatar with accompanying right/left arrows that enables  incremental adjustments via horizontal scrolling. You'd have to repeatedly use the manual drop down scroll bar (a real workflow killer)
  • AE - Images would simply not appear. Only a strange border would indicate an image's presence; the image itself would be invisible. Meanwhile, the preview rendering (tested on a previous job) was nightmarishly slow and would NEVER hold; i.e., whether you made a change or not to anything on the timeline the preview would have to be RE-rendered every time you played it or moved your marker
  • AU - MAJOR clipping and latency issues during recording but, most maddeningly, totally random;  I tried every fix in the book and, at first, thought a new  pair of bluetooth headphones caused these sudden problems. NOPE it was version 2018 = unusable.

I'm back to 2017 for the foreseeable future.

I mentioned that I tried every fix in the book. Preferences is on the first page of that book. Made no difference.

i don't see where you stated that, but if you tried everything, then there's nothing else to try.
