Question

A false "You’ve reached your device activation limit" window popped up

this morning, I had InDesign open, and this window was open: "You’ve reached your device activation limit." It states that Adobe apps can only be signed in and activated on two devices. To sign in on this device, you need to sign out of another device first. All apps, local files and Creative Cloud assets on those devices will remain intact. Learn more about device activation limits.

Then, It shows MULTIPLEs of the SAME workstation. Clearly, there is an Adobe Creative Cloud Issue.

How do I resolve and why can I not report this to Adobe.

Hey Adobe. Maybe fix this? I use Simplewall and thanks to thatt I can see the literal dozens of online checking services you keep firing up, so it's no wonder there are false positives causing this issue.

Just now I was presented with 6 copies of my same workstation with Photoshop crying about device activation limit.

Just happened to me. Busiest start of the day all year, and it won't let me work because of an Adobe issue. Getting really sick of this software suite at this point.

go to your account, https://account.adobe.com and sign out of all devices.

then use your cc desktop app to sign in on the 2 computers that you want to use.

I'm having the same issue. This first happened on Sunday January 19. Now it has happened today (Jan23). I've signed out on the "other" devices listed and moved on, but I do not understand why this happened again. I've only been signed into one device ever with my adobe account.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

i don't know why it can continue to occur for while.  i know i had the problem more than one year ago and it just stopped on it's own.

You can reset all activations. Then you can restart.
