A Lot of Nothing Happening with Creative Cloud Install

NOTHING happens when I double click the installation file for Creative Cloud and I have tried every solution that I can think of.  Does anyone know what might be my problem?  I should also mention that I am running Windows 10 and Creative Cloud was, until recently, installed and working properly.  I do not receive an error message so I am unable to search for solutions that way.

Thanks!

SUCCESS!  It was a problem with the application manager.  By problem I mean it was not installed.  Once I installed it, Creative Cloud installation was flawless.  Thanks again for your help!

Hi Gracef4732956,

Kindly Reset your Host file. See, Advanced solutions to connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications

After that follow the below steps:

  • Please check if you have any browser security extensions installed, please disable them. ( Eg: AD BLOCK, Mcafee site/web adviser, internet security toolbar etc)
  • Also disable the Firewall of your machine.
  • Disable Firewall of the Internet security program installed on computer. (Norton 360 - disable the following in it : Browser protection, safe surfing, firewall, download intelligence)

****These changes are temporary you can revert these changes back to normal once your Creative Cloud app is up and running****

1) Uninstall Creative Cloud Desktop Manager  :

Creative Cloud Help | Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app

2) Delete following folders : ( If you don't see any folder skip that step )

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Application Manager

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Creative Cloud Folders

C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\ Delete AAM UPDATER  and OOBE both ( App data & Program Data is hidden folder please see, Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows 7, 8.x, 10, or Vista  )

C:\Program DATA \Adobe\ rename the file SL-STORE as SL-STORE_OLD

3- Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud Installer file and use the same to install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial

Hi Bani -

Thank you for your thorough reply.  Unfortunately, I was not able to successfully install CC despite the fact that I followed your instructions to the letter.  I am also having a problem with Bridge.  I was going to uninstall it - just incase it was somehow interfering with the Creative Cloud problem - but it is not listed in my "Installed Programs" list.  Having said that, when I click on the Bridge shortcut on  my desktop, it opens and begins to do it's thing.  If you have any further advice or suggestions, I'd be grateful to hear them.  This is a very new type of problem for me and it makes me wonder if there is something else wrong with my PC that is unrelated to Adobe products.

Thanks again!
