ACC-cannot see apps installed until restart computer???

Ok here is an issue and I cannot get anywhere on "Cloud Forum" or anywhere else and now I totally understand the frustration of users to get to post a question with details... Not new to this but for some reason all is lost on this head...

Having an issue with ACC and wish topmost a question to see if anyone else is having issues? It is either Apple or Adobe that is causing the problem and am seeking some resolution so if it is Apple I can scream very loudly - if Adobe I will do likewise....

Here is the question: Cloud says no installation of apps- restart computer and all is there? What is reason???

I am here because I cannot seem to get anywhere else that might help... thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Correct answer kglad

do you have a compatible (10.11 or better) os?

if yes, perform each applicable step (which may not include the first 2 steps but will always include the subsequent steps):

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thanks kglad, today things "seem" to be normal. With my limited bandwidth what you suggest would put me way over the top of the GB bandwidth allowed per month. I am in a lot of prerelease and all eats up what limit I do have. Hopefully whatever glitch caused this is gone but then I never hold my breath. The questioning me wonders what caused this as I have not seen or heard of this issue before. Signing out of ACC didn't resolve and trying to sign back in was another issue as it said I did not have Cloud installed... very strange.

I am on the latest Sierra and understand that there are some issues there with Adobe apps.

p.s. since I am a moderator I had to move this from Lounge where I orig. posted this question to here as I was not able to access an area in Cloud Forum where I could post my question plus info. Another strangeness.

i assume you completely shutdown your computer and restarted and still saw that message. if you did that and saw that message, i can't explain it.

but i had a problem with the forums on 4/20 that i'd never encountered before:  when trying to move messages, many forums (eg, photoshop, lr classic, lr cc etc) were not listed.  many forums (eg, asian ones) were listed but none of the main ones that i use were listed.

i don't see how your original problem could be related but your p.s. issue may be related.
