Accepting my password for installation

How do I get Adobe to accept password (which is confirmed) on Adobe? I am trying to download

Photshop Elements for Mac 11 but a dialog box appears: Setup wants to make changes. Type your

password to allow this. When I type in password, it "shakes."

I'm using Firefox....my only browser

Try another, they are all free.

It might not be a browser issue, but it is an easy thing to try and see if it works because often that can be a solution.
