acrobat 9 update issue

i have installed update to acrobat 9 pro, i now get the message program stopped working when i open any pdf on my system please help asap

    it would probably be easiest to uninstall acrobat, run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html), then reinstall acrobat and then update.
