anyone having the same issue where Acrobat DC Pro 2015 was just working fine then suddenly prompted Retry activation but you never signed out or deactivated the product, i have not activated the product to any computer recently. Adobe support was not helpful, they said they can't do anything on their side and offering subscription

Same issue here. Spent an hour with online support only to be told they can't deactivate perpetual licenses. So I wonder, how does it show another device activated if they have no way to see it? It has to be in a database somewhere.........

From Adobe Support:

During our recent discussion, we conveyed that your application has unfortunately lost all of its activation counts. It is important to note that you were required to deactivate the application prior to making any modifications to either the application itself or the device it is installed on.

We understand that this situation can be challenging, and we are eager to assist you. However, it is essential to clarify that we are unable to reset the activation counts from our end. This limitation arises because the application is not cloud-based, meaning we do not have access to the names or IP addresses of the devices on which the application was activated. Consequently, we do not maintain any connection or association with your device.

how's the inability of support to deactivate related to what they can see?

Nope, no devices. Adobe support told me that I won't see anything in there because that is for cloud based products and not perpetual ones.
