Acrobat Installer - Unexpected Failure - Pro DC Trial

My trial has downloaded fine, but I get an error when trying to install it. It paused and asked me to close Reader, which was open, so I did, then hit try again. When I open the installer, it checks the download, the blue bar goes 50% across, it starts installing, then says, "Acrobat Installer encountered an unexpected failure. Please try again. If it continues to fail, contact Adobe Support." I have tried updating Reader, restarting my mac, to no avail. Same problem.

    Hm... 13-inch, early 2011.

    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

    I thought so .
I am very sorry , Acrobat Pro DC requires either MacOS 10.9.x or 10.10. versions.

Please refer below link for details :

System requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe Acrobat Standard DC

May I know whether you had installed Acrobat pro XI or other older version Acrobat on your computer ?

If so , did you uninstall it ?

Thanks for your reply. I had an Acrobat Pro XI trial from 2 years ago. After your comment, I uninstalled it, but I'm still having the same problem.

Navigate to Applications > Utilities >Adobe Installers,

Open Adobe Installer folder and check whether Acrobat pro XI is present or not?

We might need to trash preferences files as well .

Did you downloaded installer file from direct download link ?
