Acrobat Pro "Download Fail" Mac Monterey v12.5 (Internet connection error)

Hey-

I've been trying to install the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat Pro to my brand new macbook air (M1, 2020). Whenever I try to run the .dmg it keeps giving me the error message: "Download failed. An error occurred while downloading the update. Please check your internet connection and try again."

This is even when I have a very good internet connection--other apps are downloading fine, it's only Acrobat that has this problem. [Download speed is 625.72 Mbps]. I've tried uninstalling the downloader & re-downloading from Firefox, Safari, & the creative cloud desktop app. Also re-starting the computer. Any ideas on how to fix? I really need the desktop app (as opposed to the online version) for work.

Thanks!

I did try that before posting, but turned out that wasn't the problem (or at least the whole problem). In classic fashion, I figured out what was wrong basically as soon as I posted lol, and am just gonna write it here for if anyone else has the same problem:

It turns out that I needed to install Rosetta 2 before I could install Acrobat because Acrobat for Mac is built for a Mac with an Intel processor, rather than a silicon processor (the M1 chip) (Apple support explanation). For some reason, the automatic prompt to install Rosetta didn't come up when I initially tried to install Acrobat, even though it theoretically should have. I restarted my computer again, and the next time I tried to download acrobat from the cc desktop app, the automatic prompt came up and I was able to install everything.

use the cc desktop app to install acrobat dc, if that's the product you've licensed.

that was a problem with older cc desktop apps. the current one should circumvent that problem.
