Acrobat will not install

I've been having an issue reinstalling Acrobat to a larger SSD.

I had it installed to my C drive (a small 250GB drive mainly for Windows) and have now moved all my Adobe software (Premiere Pro, Photoshop etc) on CC to my D drive successfully (a much larger 2TB drive). All software apart from Acrobat.

I am continuously running into an error when trying to reinstall Acrobat to the new drive, error 101. It gets to around 30% then refuses to go any further.

I have even attempted to reinstall to the C drive where it originally was and the error persists. I cannot reinstall the software to any drives.

Any advice would be helpful.

    Samc, when you moved to the new hard drive, did you copy anything over to the new drive, including applications, documents, or files? Error 101 indicates that Acrobat is unable to install, and the most common cause is when application files are moved from one drive to another. You can find information on Error 101 at https://adobe.ly/4br4LuN.  

     

    If you did copy the apps over, download and run the CC Cleaner Tool from https://adobe.ly/4dqGzu7 to attempt to remove the files causing the failure.

     

    If you didn't copy the files over, you will want to take a closer look at the log file to determine why Acrobat is blocked from installing. Please see https://adobe.ly/3UpZdtw for information on how to locate more details about Error 101. ^JW

    Hi Jeff,

    The app has not been copied - it is a totally fresh install where I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat first, then attempted to reinstall to the new drive (having changed the install location in Adobe CC).

     

    Today attempting to download again I get a failure at 30%. Retrying on 30% I get 'Extracting' and then CC gives a message saying 'This appears to be taking longer than it should. Attempting to resolve.' CC then restarts without Acrobat installed.

     

    I've copied below the error log, but I am honest this is beyond me - it even reads at the end 'File download complete' but Acrobat is still not installed and says installation failed in CC. Currently I have all my adobe software installed at D:\Program Files\Adobe so I don't know why it it's still trying to install to C. I have set preferences in CC to install all the software to this location and Photoshop, Premiere Pro is sitting in this folder quite happily.
