Acrobat X Pro update or full version?

I am currently only running Acrobat Reader. I need more funtions, can I just install Acrobat X Pro update or do I need to install full Acrobat?

    Adobe Reader and Acrobat are two different products; you will need to install the full version of Acrobat (Std or Pro).
