activating a try and buy product

I have just purchased a serial number to activate my try and buy photoshop elements only to discover that i bought photoshop elements 12 but my trial product is photoshop elements 11. I was going to just download the newer version but I'm afraid my I'll lose the photos on elements 11. Also, i only have mobile broadband so downloading a large product might be difficult. Any suggestions?

    I can't currently open my catalog as the trial has expired.

    I have never used Photoshop Elements so I do not know if it is required to access the program to move the catalog/images.  Adobe does not sell older versions of their software, so if you need open 11 to in order to move the catalog/images, you are not likely to be able to without finding somewhere to purchase 11.
