I have an old - probably the original version of Photoshop CS - I am not a big user and have no need for the latest bells and whistles so no need to upgrade. I want to install the old version on my new computer but having installed the software off my disk am told I have a time limit to activate. When I try to do this Adobies web site tells me the against my e-mail address there are no products registered but when I contacted support they tell me the product serial number is registered to my e-mail address?? How do I activate my product properly?? Your help would be much appreciated

It doesn't really matter whether the product is registered or not as you will not be able activate Photoshop CS. This is because the activation server was turned off long ago-also true of CS2. Fortunately for you Adobe created a version of Photoshop that circumvents the activation process. It is based on CS2 but legitimate owners of CS are allowed to install it. You must use the serial number from the web page below in the appropriate language. Also you don't say if your computer is Windows or Mac and that matters as the modified version does not run on an Intel processor based Mac -which is all of them these days when buying new. It runs fine on Windows though. Also when you install you will probably be offered an upgrade, make sure you install it or most of the features on the help menu will not work.

Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products
