Activation of a trial version of Lightroom 4

I have purchased Lightroom 4 from Amazon. In the meantime I downloaded a trial version of the program from Adobe. Can I activate the downloaded trial version with the serial number from the purchased disc (haven't got it yet), or do I have to install Lightroom from the disc?

    You can activate the same trial version with the serial number on the Disc , no need to uninstall -re-install.
