Question

Add a license to a new laptop and remove from a disabled laptop

I purchased a perpetual license for Adobe Acrobat DC and need to have the product added to my new laptop and removed from a disabled laptop. I have tried to log in and do it myself, but the functionality does not exist. I understand that Adobe currently supports certain versions via their SaaS model, but I should be able to receive the benefit of the license I paid for. Please advise how I can have my license applied to my laptop without having to pay additional fees.

Acrobat 2017 is end of life & 5+ years out of date.  Product support ended on June 06, 2022.

For security & compatibility reasons, you really should use modern Acrobat -- either FREE Acrobat Reader or paid Acrobat Pro DC.

FREE Acrobat Reader -- view, comment & sign PDF.

Paid Acrobat Pro DC -- the complete solution for creating and saving PDF files.

Hope that helps.

Since you don't know the perpetual product name, please tell us the exact version shown by ABOUT - something like 2016.123.98765. All of the numbers are important.

Which specific product? "DC" is the subscription product.

Adobe Acrobat DC is a subscription product now, but it was not when I purchased the perpetual license in 2017. According to the terms of my license agreement, I should be able to add my license to a few laptops, and it is not allowing me to do so. That is my issue.

When you can't properly deactivate a serial number
(this is the ONLY support Adobe still offers for old programs)
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience

Be sure to remain signed in with your Adobe ID before accessing the link below
Do be aware that Adobe's staffing is impacted by the virus, so wait times are long
-you MUST make sure that your browser does NOT block ads, scripts, or pop-ups
-you MUST also allow 'cookies' in your web browser for the link to work
This link will go directly to the chat option
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person
-Meaning type in the word Agent without the quote " " marks
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
- or by telephone https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
.
Adobe does NOT do support by email, so beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message
-click for more information about scammers https://tinyurl.com/10791730

Once your activation count is adjusted you install the same way you did the first time

-put your disc in the drive and enter your serial number when asked

OR

-run the downloaded installer that you saved and enter your serial number when asked
