Adobe Acrobat X Pro download, installation - "unidentified developer" message

Hi out there: I have a MacBook Pro (a couple years old) and have the 13.6.1 Mac OS installed. I pay for the annual app use for Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I downloaded it and when I try to open up the "Adobe Acrobat X Pro installer.pkg" (to install the app) - a small window pops up stating “Adobe Acrobat X Pro Installer.pkg” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

I looked up online a way to use "terminal" to temporarily block this action, so I can install Adobe Acrobat X Pro, but am not sure if I should use the other Adobe app known as "Adobe Acrobat DC".

Any advice/inputs would be appreciated - thanks!

you either have an acrobat subscription (not an acrobat x subscription), or an acrobat x perpetual license.

check your account to see which, if you're confused, https://account.adobe.com

Use the Adobe Cloud Desktop app to download, install and manage your Adobe apps, including updates.

Did you follow these steps to download and install Acrobat?
