Question

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro does not show up as a qualifying product selection when I am asked to enter my serial number

I deactivated my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on a notebook computer and reinstalled it on another computer using the original CD that came with the purchase.  Following a successful installation I started the software and a window popped up requesting my serial number.  I entered my serial number (whcih I checked on my Adobe account) but there is no qualifying product for this version.  Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is not in the list.  The message on the screen says that I have a valid serial number but I cannot select the correct software version because it is not in the list.

Your Acrobat XI is an upgrade version and you've entered an upgrade serial number.

The installer is asking you to enter the serial number for an earlier qualifying version to verify that you're eligible to use the upgrade serial number.

In short, it wants you to enter a valid serial number for either Acrobat 9 or Acrobat X.

    Do you have one?

From what you describe you purchased an upgrade version of Acrobat XI.  It is asking you for the previous version that you upgraded from... the one that qualifies you to use the upgrade version.  You will need the serial number fior that as well.
