Adobe Acrobat XI Pro serial number for previous version not for a qualifying product?

Upgrading from Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  Get a message saying "... qualifying product could not be found on this computer".  So entered serial number and says serial number for previous version is not for a qualifying product?  I have tried entering the serial number into the accounts section of my Adobe page but it won't recognise it there either.  Can you please help?

Please see Error: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | CS6, CS5.5, CS5

You may also refer qualifying product cannot be found on this computer?
