Adobe Application Manager is corrupt and lets a reinstallation attempt of Adobe Acobat Pro XI fail - attempt to install new copy of the AAM fails because AAM is missing according to installation record dump - how to fix this chicken in the egg problem?

Does anybody have an idea what to do? I use Windows 7 as operation system

    Kindly try downloading and installing the Adobe Application manager from here : Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager : Thank You

    Before installing kindly restart the machine and then rename the OOBE folder from here C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp as OOBE_OLD

    Let us know if this helps.

    Thank you! This really helped. Key was to rename the directory as stated. After that everything, including the reinstallation of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, was a piece of cake.
