Emeliaj1997, what type of Creative Cloud membership are you using?  What operating system are you using Illustrator CC 2015.3 on?

I'm on operating system 10.9.5 - i think this was the correct software for this operation system. I have a full abobe subscription.

Emeliaj1997, I would strongly recommend you utilize your Creative Cloud membership on an up to date computer.  A Mac running Mac OS 10.9.5 would be unable to install any of the recently released apps or services.  You will also find that the older versions, that run on Mac OS 10.9.5 will no longer be available for download and installation.  For more information on the type of computer that is recommended see https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html.

Can I ask why you're not using the latest version of Illustrator 2019 or 2020?
