Adobe Application Manager fails to download

Hello.

I have bought a subscription of Illustrator and need to download the programme via Adobe Application Manager. However, Adobe Application Manager will not download. It will get to about 3 bars and the following message will appear: the remote server is not responding in a proper manner. Please retry after a few minutes.

I am working on a Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

I spent over an hour on the phone to Adobe yesterday and the person I spoke to used Join.Me to have a look at what was going on. We created a new account as Administrator to try and change some settings so we could download it. In the end he suggested that the reason it wasn't working was because the internet was too slow.

I called my internet provider and they increased the speed of the internet. This hasn't changed anything and the Adobe Application Manager will still fail to download.

Is there any other way of getting Adobe Application Manager to download? Or is there a way of accessing Illustrator without it?

Am in dire need of Illustrator  as I have an impending deadline!

Thanks.

    Hi Lee Ann,

Thanks a lot for your help. The Adobe Application Manager has just happened to start working. I think this may because I found a different location from which it was supposed to be downloaded.

I now have another obstacle - I can't download Illustrator. It says it is downloading, before failing and reading "Unable to reach Adobe Servers. Please check your internet connectivity, firewall settings, and then try again." It keeps 'Retrying' but repeats the same thing over again.

I have temporarily dismantled my firewall but still the same issue.

Would really appreciate some more assistance!
