I trying to install photoshop and the "Adobe Application Manager quits unexpectedly.   I have apple desktop 2009 computer with latest Mavericks OS.  Any idea what I need to fix?

Keith my advice from message #3 still stands.  You will want to remove the currently installed Adobe Creative software titles to resolve the Adobe Application Manager corruption.

I trying to install creative cloud.  I had the manager quit on both photoshop and lightroom.

iCapture do you receive any specific error messages?  Have Photoshop and Lightroom been installed?  If not then please see Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html for information on how to install both applications.
