I can open the ADA it starts to download then nothing happens, once in a while something saying that I need adobe air to download pops up. I tried to download but also nothing happens. It might be some setting in my mac, I just got it today so and I'm not use to lion so I dont know if it is a setting in lion or what. Any help would be appreicated.

try downloading from a different user account. root user would suffice. this link should help you out : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528.

I was able to enable the root user but it still didn't get any further than it did before, it says i need to download adobe air to download it, but when I try to it says i need adobe air to download adobe air, what a paradox.

hmmm..can you try to go to the utilities folder under applications and see if you have an icon for Adobe Air uninstaller..if you have one try to uninstall it. try to download air again then.
