Hi there,

I am receiving Error 16 on all Adobe CC downloads.

I have reviewed the forum, uninstalled, installed, restarted, cleaned CC, run in compatibility mode - you name it, I've done it. I cannot get any of these products to work. I have spent two days on this issue.  Please someone from Adobe, please help me to get this to work. I am running windows 10 on a new Dell laptop.

Thank you!

Correct answer kglad

Here you go...Thanks!

if you successfully restored read/write permissions for all users on both adobepcd and slstore folders (ie, check),

using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

Hi emjay,

I would like to inform you that this error is basically due to permissions issue. If the above suggestion didn't work for you then please make sure that your Adobe folders in your machine have complete Read and write permissions and also you are not in a restricted network.

Folders to be given full permission:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe

C:\ProgramData\Adobe

Also please make sure that there is no security software and you have admin access on this machine.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi emjay,

I understand that you are getting configuration error 16 on launching your CC apps and you are using a windows machine.

Please right click the application icon > click Run as Administrator .

It should launch fine then.

Please let me know if this works. Thanks!

Hi Himanshu

This does not work. Any other suggestions?

I have a new laptop that has encryption built into it, would that make a difference?

Thanks for your help!
