Adobe CC on the top right of my Mac is blank.

I tried going to the Adobe site to re-download CC.  It says it is downloading, but IT IS NOT!  There is a download icon on the top right of my Mac, which should show it is downloading, but the only thing it shows is my recent downloads, nothing for CC.  I tried all the help menus in Adobe, but it keeps sending me in a loop.  Back to the same screen, which is no help! 

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I tried the above, to no avail.  I finally went on the Adobe site and it took FOREVER to find the link to chat with someone.  When I finally found it, the tech support was prompt and efficient.  I had to give him permission to take over my computer.  I don't know what he did, but he fixed it.  But thank you for your response.  I wish that had worked for me, but it didn't.

restart your computer and retry downloading the cc desktop app from here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
