Adobe Cloud Downloading But Not Installing (No Error Message)

I just got a Macbook Pro (mid 2014) version 10.11.14, and I'm trying to instal Adobe Cloud (I have a subscription). The application downloads fine, but when I open the installer, double click, put in my mac password as prompted to make changes, the dialogue window disappears and nothing more happens. Nothing installs, no loading bar comes up, nothing. I read on a similar question that erasing all traces of previous adobe products off the computer was necessary, but adobe has never been installed on this computer before. Anyone run into this before?

This hasn't worked for me! Now I don't have any of my CC Programs.

clean anyway:

uninstall everything cc including the cc desktop app.

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

I downloaded the app, but when opening to install, it does nothing. I have windows 7. Please someone let me know how to install this.
