Question

Adobe Creative Cloud App in LaunchPad

There are two folders created during install that are app-specific and cannot be removed from my LaunchPad. One of the folders is called "Adobe Creative Cloud (other)" and the other folder, which is empty, is called "Adobe Application Manager (other)". I reviewed this issue with Apple Support and they explained that I need to contact Adobe in order to get this fixed. This is very annoying because the folders are app-specific, so you cannot remove or hide them and they just take up space in the LaunchPad.

Please fix.

Still no answer? Strange. Again: In MacOS's (Mojave) launchpad does appear "Creative Cloud Uninstaller", what is unnecessary for everyday use, but doesn't appear "Creative Cloud"! Anyone can help? At least Adobe should be able to help.

Nearly a year and a half since the original post - as long as I've used Adobe CC, I have had this issue.  It seems Adobe doesn't care at all for it's installation process.  Here's what I have from the Lightroom/Photoshop CC package after a CLEAN install:

1.  Adobe Application Manager (Other) folder - with one application AAMLauncherUtil (I have no idea what this is or does).

2.  Adobe Creative Cloud (Other) folder - with one application Creative Cloud Installer - but I've already installed.  WHY IS THIS HERE?

3.  Adobe Creative Cloud_3.8.0.310 (Other) folder - with one application: Adobe Application Updater.

This installation of superfluous programs is shoddy and messy at best.  I'm scared to remove them, but also find them irritating to have to keep them in my launchpad.  Please Adobe, listen to this query and give us a solution.  Or at least clean up the installation process.  I don't even want to begin on the mess that is in my Applications folder...

Yes I've got the very same problem and also under the Launchpad icon in the dock I have a constant empty upload line, not only that overtime I turn on the mac it seems to be trying to down load something that is not there. I know this is connected to Adobe Creative cloud but I am unable to remove it form the launchpad and I do not want this 'Free' trial option the whole thing is driving me crazy. Why can I delete it from Launch pad???? Ive searched but there seems no answer to this problem. Anyone any ideas

Yeah, I'm having sort of the same issue. It creates those two folders for me as well, but in my Adobe application manager-folder there's an icon – AAMLauncherUtil. However, it doesn't create an Adobe CC icon in the launchpad, which it did on one of my other computers.

Steven_MSolomon have you tried the steps listed in How to remove app from LaunchPad | Apple Support Communities to remove the Applications from the Launch Pad?
