Adobe Creative Cloud install problem

I recently had the creative Cloud 2017 installed on my computer because I have El Capitan on my Imac and it doesn't support newer versions. But everytime I start my computer I get a message about Creative Creative Cloud in Dutch (I translated it to Engish): Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to solve the problem. Click on 'Repair' to solve the problem. If the problem persists, you can download a new copy and reinstall it at "http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp_nl.". I've reinstalled it several times but always get this message. If I doubleclick the icon it there's a turning icon for a while and then it quits and I get the message again.

Jandronenrijs, what step are you utilizing in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html to resolve the error?

Before I just followed the advise of reparing or reinstalling the programme. Now I've gone to the link you provided and followed the steps listed there but with the same results. The programme again quits after a while and then the computer gives the same message as before. The programme installs fine, so apperently there's no conflict with the OS El Capitan that's installed on my computer. Everything else (CC programme's) works fine. What is the consequence of this programme not working?

Leaving the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application non-functional will not work, Jandronenrijs.  You will end up facing licensing and activation errors eventually.

I reviewed the e-mail address you used to post to this public discussion forum and it looks like you have an individual CC membership.  Does this mean that you are installing Creative Cloud on a computer and network that you own and manage?
