Adobe Creative Cloud - Stuck on "trial expired"

I recently ordered a student version of Creative Cloud from a third party website (not grey market or anything, one that works with Adobe) and activated it on my account. Before this I used some trial versions on this account, which have expired by this point. However, after activating my key the "trial expired message" didn't disappear. So I can't use a bunch of programs. I've tried completely reinstalling creative cloud and the programs, and when I check my membership info online it says I have a 1 year membership of creative cloud with all apps. Anyone encountered this problem before?

Did you look into this: Stop Adobe Creative Cloud from opening in trial mode after purchase ?
