Adobe Creative Suite 4 Launch Failures

We had a physical hard drive failure.

We put in a new Hard Drive. Running Windows XP.

We had to reinstall Adobe CS4.

Programs worked for a couple of days and then some began to fail to launch.

Acrobat and Photoshop are not launching. InDesign launches sometimes.

Seeking assistance in getting us running again.

    You have a virus, your security tools are over-zealous or a hardware issue with your harddrive controller is corrupting the prefs of the programs. Trash them and see if it improves matters.

    Do you receive any specific error messages?  Have you tried removing and reinstalling the software?  If so did you receive any errors when installing the software?

    We have uninstalled and reinstalled.

    We have tried installer fixes.

    We had issues attempting to reinstall after uninstalling.

    Were receiving messages "Adobe SpeedLauncher is running" or "Adobe Acrobat 9.0 is running"
