Hello,

I have troubles activating my adobe creative suite license on my macbook. I got the adobe creative suite license from my school and tried to follow the instructions..

I went into the file MacOS_Install --> Build --> MacOS_Install_Install.pkg and installed the applications. Now my teacher told me I should open the file Adobe_Activation and execute AdobeSerialization.exe, but this is not working (obviously because I got a Mac) so I looked that up on AdobeHelp and found out that I have to open the Terminal, enter "sudo" and drag and drop the file I want into it and press Enter. That worked out and now it asks me for my password like it should BUT there's a Key after it "Password: Key" and I cannot type my in password... Can somebody please help me?

Thank you,

Nina

Do you mean Creative Suite (CS6 and earlier) or a Creative CLOUD subscription?

If Creative Suite, Apple has not maintained backward compatibility with old programs

What may work to install CS6 is below

-Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

-READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required

-Also read for more information https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2458382

-and https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/install-or-run-applications-new.html

Your school’s helpdesk responsible for distributing the licenses should be able to help you.
