Adobe CS 5 won't install on Windows 8.1

Hello..

I'm trying to install the Adobe CS 5 suite on my Windows 8.1 Pro computer (quad-core i7 processor w/16Gb of memory), but now matter what I do I can't get it to install. I try running the installer (icon that looks like a red box with white adobe logo on it) but nothing happens after I double-click on it. I've also tried running it in various windows compatibility modes but it still does nothing. It worked fine on my previous Windows 7 install. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I've already checked for compatibility issues between the CS 5 suite and Windows 8.1 and there are none that I could find. I've also downloaded and tried to install the CS 5 suite from the link you provided, but it still did not install. My Windows 8.1 install has all the latest updates as well. I've tried calling Adobe for assistance but they would not offer me any support and I was told that they no longer support the CS 5 software, only the Creative Cloud.
