Adobe Design Standard - activation and license

I have bought Adobe Design Standard CS6 version from a reseller.

He has bought it before January 9th I assume.

I received from him a serial number and instruction how to activate it.

I downloaded the program, activated it with received serial number and logged into my ADOBE ID account.

What about the license? I can't register this serial number on my ADOBE ID account because it says that the number is has already been registered.

I asked reseller about it, and if he can transfer the license to me like it says in here:

Transfer an Adobe product license

He answer, that after 9th of January things have changed, and activating product when installing is enough.

Is that true? So I own a full value product? With only serial number, invoice but no license on my adobe id account?

    try a different browser.

Aaab50123277 it is possible to transfer a volume license but it would depend upon the type of contract which was purchased.  In general the entire volume license purchase would need to be transferred to the new owner.

If you are attempting to purchase Creative Suite 6 then I would recommend you only do so from an authorized Adobe Reseller. You can find resellers located near you at Adobe Partner Connection Portal .

I would concur with Kglad and recommend that you register any Creative Suite 6 product purchased under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  If it is not possible, in the case of a volume license, then I would recommend returning the software title.  I would only proceed if you are able to successfully register the software to your account.  You can find complete details regarding the registration process at Find your serial number .

The reseller said, that product is registered on their company account (they bought directly from the producer, Adobe Store I assume), and that they have no option to transfer it to my account. They explain it by changes made after January 9th. You can no longer buy CS6 products, I know. But can you transfer the license?

verify that your serial number is valid.

using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Even if it is valid (it activated the products online), do I have guarantee that it won't stop working in some time?

I don't feel secure enough without the license on my name account.

Thank you for your answer. I will contact Adobe.

correct, adobe staff will validate (or not) whether that volume license can be resold to individuals.

The reseller needs to transfer the license - do yourself a favor and get your money back if you still can.
