Adobe Design Standard CS6 - Do I register to Adobe ID?

I am wanting to transfer access to Adobe Design Standard CS6 to my new computer. Do I need to add the serial number to my Adobe ID? How will this affect the use of the program on a different computer (the license I purchased includes two instances).

Except for Teams licenses, I'm not aware of a two user license.
