Question

Adobe Fonts / Typekit stopped working – and Creative Cloud update keeps failing, Error 301

I have two issues with my installation:
1. Typekit has stopped working. Using the web dashboard on (https://fonts.adobe.com/my_fonts) available through the navigation in InDesign, I find my activated fonts as expected. But – they are replaced in InDesign, and won't load, even after a restart. Trying to activate a font using the Adobe Creative Suite does not work, it keeps crashing and gives a message that there was an error when updaten Creative Cloud.

2. When I triy to update my Creative Cloud, it crashes and gives me the error 301. Restarted the computer, same same. What to to?

I'd be so glad if someone has advice how to solve the font issue – or both, of course  😉

Thank you!

Typekit is no more. Adobe fonts are now handled through Creative Cloud desktop. Not that it does you much good since your Creative Cloud application keeps crashing.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the 301 error means. I hope someone else can help.

You might want to provide information on your hardware and OS version. That helps with troubleshooting.

Thanks for your quick reply. Right, I am on a Macbook Pro, running OSX 10.14 Mojave

I was able to solve the issue by using the Activity Monitor as grl-geek recommended – and restarted the update  – and my Adobe Fonts are back up running. 🙂

I had the same issues with updating on High Sierra. I went to the Activity Monitor and force quit all of the Adobe processes. When I restarted CC, the updates worked.
