Adobe GCCLIENT - error @ startup ?

receiving an error @9246325 startup -  Win 8.1, 64bit -

I have started to receive an error at system startup -

updaterstartuputility.exe - throws an error

point to a problem with -

c:\program files(x86)\common files\adobe\adobegcclient\adobegcclientupdater.dll

says that (condensed verbiage) this maybe caused by the application not designed for windows or has another error.  try uninstalling and reinstalling.

what product / program is this and what is to be uninstalled and downloaded/reinstalled ??

apparently the above .dll was updated on 11/25/2015.  this date corresponds to the time the error started.

BTW - what is GCCLIENT ??
