Adobe Illustrator update fails . . . now what?

I have received updates regularly for the other Adobe software without issue.  However, for over a month, Illustrator's update fails.  The error message is:

"Update Failed

Unable to extract the downloaded files.  Press Retry to download again.

(U44M1l210)"

Retry, fails, retry, fails, retry fails, ad infinitum.

Adobe has a problem with this update for whatever reason and needs to fix it.

Computer:  ASUS Sabertooth Rev. 1.0, AMD 8150 at 4.4GHz; 16M 1866 DDR3, 1TB SATA III HD
