HI,

I have a Mac Book Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6.  I can install the Adobe Creative Cloud app with no problem,.  However, even after following all the trouble shooting guides (including using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool) When I try to install Adobe Illustrator, it gets to about 43 percents and then gives the following error:

FATAL: Error (Code = 151) executing in command 'CreateMacAliasCommand' for package: 'AdobeColorCommonSetRGB_1_0-mul', version:1.1.4

FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: AdobeColorCommonSetRGB_1_0-mul Version: 1.1.4). Error code: '151'

WARN: Unable to delete file at "/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Recommended".

How do I resolve this?

Elenar89856889, are you installing Illustrator CC or Acrobat DC?  You are currently posting in a public discussion forum accessible to anyone with Internet access.  For direct support please contact our support team at Contact Customer Care .

Elenar89856889, error 151 indicates that the installer was unable to create a symbolic link.  In this particular case, it was trying to create a link in the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Recommended folder.  If retrying the installation of Illustrator CC does not resolve the error then please try adjusting the file permissions for the Recommend folder.  You can find information on how to adjust file permissions at Error exit code 6, exit code 7 installing Adobe Creative Cloud .

For more details regarding Error 151 see Creative Cloud download and install errors .

Please update this discussion if you have any questions, Elenar89856889 .

HI - I've tried adjusting the permissions and all of the recommendations and nothing works.  I'm getting the same error message. Is there a way to get actual tech support?  I currently pay for Adobe DC but this experience in obtaining tech support is making it much less likely I will continue to use Adobe products.
