He's just a student yet; what is the way so he can have the first contact and learn without having to buy now?
"Portable Photoshop" is a pirated software. Aside from the fact is is cracked software, you are inviting all kinds of problems since malware is often bundled with it. Also any technical problems with it, no one here or employed by Adobe can provide support. It isn't ours and we don't know what they did to cheat the license and activation.
