Thanking those who responded to my dilemma regarding not being able to use CS6 on Windows 10. I was able to get the situation rectified and as far as not having a key/code, it is already embedded in the disk. That's why it never asked me to enter. Thanks again all!😋

The serial number was not "embedded in the disk". It was printed on a sticker, and explicitly typed in during installation. If you didn't do that, the install would abort.

 

I don't know what you have, but it is a fact that volume licenses have been illegaly sold individually. These were the only licenses that didn't require a serial number.
