I have adobe photoshop elements 11 installed  on my computer, do i need to uninstal it to install adobe photoshop elements 12 ?

    No, it is not necessary.  You can if you want to, but if 12 is an upgrade purchase it can help to have 11 installed.  Otherwise you would need the serial number from 11 to confirm the upgrade eligibility
