adobe photoshop elements premier cd key typo: my cd copy has a typo in the cd key, what should i do?

i entered the key that i had on the cd sleeve and it kept coming up as "invalid". i changed the compatibility to windows xp sp3 just to be sure it wasn't that. and i tried removing the dashes. each try came up as invalid, what should i do about that?
