Adobe Photoshop w/out Creative Cloud Desktop App on Apple Silicon M1?

So apparently Adobe's Creative Cloud Desktop App that handles authorization and installation of all of Adobe's products is not Apple Silicon M1 ready yet. That said, how does someone on a M1 Mac install say Photoshop that doesn't want to use or have any Rosetta 2 apps on their machine? It is impossible to just download Photoshop without it installing Adobe's Creative Cloud Desktop App at the same time. Adobe has updated a couple of their apps to be M1 optimized, but not their main app that handles all their products?! Strange...

Jcwalton, to install the M1 version of the Creative Cloud desktop app, please make sure to follow the directions listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html and begin the installation process from https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/download-creative-cloud-apps.html.

 

If you migrated/copied the Intel version of the apps, please follow the steps listed below https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html to uninstall any Adobe Creative Cloud applications before you begin the process.

 

Once the proper version of the Creative Cloud desktop app, you can begin the installation process of Photoshop or Lightroom through the app.

But my understanding is that the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App is not Apple Silicon M1 ready yet and that it is still only Intel...? Is this not true? You are telling that application has been updated to fully support Apple Silicon then? I do not want to install Rosetta 2 at all on my computer.

    JcWalton, I am sorry that is not correct. We have had an M1 version of the Creative Cloud desktop app available for quite some time. You need to begin the installation process through the link offered under Where can I download my app section of https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html. 

     

    I would recommend you review and bookmark https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html as it continues to be updated regarding the use of Adobe applications on the new M1 processors.
