Adobe premiere pro and mojave mac os

So...

Many years back i bought adobe creative suite (the CS5.5 version). Worked perfectly fine, love my programms and what i can do with them (i'm not a pro or anything). Cumputer broke, realise the newest version of Mac os would not be comptabile with the CS5.5 version, soo i bought an old mac cumputer to get the older OS system  on it.

Now, i'm going to school and they required to have a license for adobe premiere pro... which i can't download because of my version of Mac Os...

What would be my options? (Beside kissing goodbye to my old programms). Is there a way i can download a newer version of Mac os which will be compatible with both?

Thanks

The problem resolved itself as we use to have adobe premiere pro for free, but the University change its mind... so they revoked the mandatory individual license

Have you spoken to your school to see what your options are? I would start there.

No.   To use old software, you need a compatible older OS.  To use modern software, you need a modern OS.

Make sure your new computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 11, Windows 10 versions 21H1, 20H2, 2004, and 1909 (LTSB branches are not supported);
  • macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur), macOS 10.16 or 10.15 (Catalina)

Alternatively, you could get Premier Elements which is a light version without all the fancy bells & whistles.  No subscription required.  Also the learning curve isn't nearly as steep as the pro-level version. And it might be all you need.

Dual boot? Depending on the Mac model.
