Question

Adobe project files- file extensions

When an individual logs into the computers in one of our labs and uses a flash drive, the Adobe project files appear, but do not have the software icon associated with file extension.  When you click on the file, it says the software for that file is not available.  But if you were to open the software prior to attempting to access the file, the file opens without issue. The computers in our labs are Lenovo S30s that run Windows 10.

That is correct.  I accessed a few of the computers to confirm.  The only files that have programs associated are Photoshop CC 2018, After Affects CC 2018 and Audition CC 2018,

None of the other Adobe programs have file extensions assigned to them other than Photoshop files.  I hope that it is not a registry issue as it affects approximately 85 computers.

Well if it is systematic on 85 computers, a registry solution (if there is one) would be straight forward...

So you say that .ai, .indd, .anything files do not have a program associated with them?

What project files?

If there is no program associated, it may well be that there is a problem with the registry.
