Adobe PSE 9 on Windows 7 64 Bit

Question

Can Adobe PSE 9 be installed and operated from a computer with Windows 7 64 Bit OS? I tried to install the program and encountered a number of errors on the computer. I am trying to determine if this is a conflict with the software, or a sign of a seperate issue with the computer,
