Adobe Updater isn't Updating

Adobe Updater keeps popping up and telling me I have new updates. I click OK, I type in my password, I watch the progress bar fill up, but then instead of installing the updates it just keeps going back to the original window telling me I have new updates. I've tried several times, and restarted my computer, but it never finishes installing the updates.

I tried going directly to the website and downloading the updates there, but when I try to open them my computer says it can't install them because they're from an unrecognized developer.

Hi tornadoallie,

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Please ensure you have the latest version of the Creative Cloud app installed

  1. Launch Creative Cloud desktop app and click the Settings (gear)icon and select Quit.
  2. Launch the Creative Cloud application. If you are not using the most recent version, a prompt to update will occur. Any version after 1.2.1.260 resolves a known issue with Adobe ID account information conflicts.

To open apps from an unidentified developer follow these steps:

Go to System Preferences.

Go to the 'Security & Privacy' tab.

Set the "Allow applications downloaded from:" to "Anywhere".

Once you've made your changes you can go ahead and exit out of System Preferences altogether

Please reply for any assistance.

Thanks
