"Adobe User Research" Email Survey - Legit or not?

I got this email about a week ago, and another email similar to this one before. It looks really questionable (broken Adobe logo, pdf shared via google drive) so I haven't touched it. It looks like others have received something similar, but not exactly this. I'm curious if it's actually legit, but if it's not, is there a better way that we can notify Adobe of these phishing emails rather than the forum? I also haven't gotten any communication from Adobe to be on the look out for these surveys.

Correct answer AnnaHeart

I got a email back from the Adobe phishing team. This is part of the message.

Based on an initial review of the sender and message content, this appears to be a genuine Adobe email.

So there you have it... Still doesn't look like a great third-party to share my information with, so I'll pass.

Sept 2024, I am recieving these emails now.  If they are legit, Adobe may want to contact whomever is conducting this survey with some pointers, because it REALLY looks scammy as hell.  I'm not doing it.

yes, that's a universal opinion (that it looks scammy).

I got this one:.

Adobe is interested in learning from all its customers- not only professional creatives, but also people who may use an Adobe product here and there to create content or social media as just a part of their day -to-day job. You’ve been selected to join a private, member-only online community – moderated by our customer insights partner, Big Village – to help Adobe understand more about how people in jobs like yours do and want to use their products, offer your feedback on Adobe products and communications --- as well as chat with other people like you. Oh, and you will earn money each month for your participation – via e-gift cards you can redeem for VISA cash, Amazon gift cards, or e-certificates to any one of 200+ retailers of your choice!

WHY JOIN?

All levels are welcome

You will be a valued member of our community whether you are a novice or an experienced customer. We have a variety of activities for all levels about the content you create in your jobs, your personal life, and everything in between.

Connect with other Adobe users like yourself

You will be able to interact with other Adobe users with similar experiences, jobs or hobbies through discussion boards and activities, earning points along the way.

You control the experience

Choose which activities and discussions you’d like to participate in. It’s your time to share your thoughts and opinions with Adobe so they can make Adobe products better for people like you!

Get rewarded

Just completing 15 minutes per week of activities in our community means you could earn up to $30 a month for participating. Your monthly incentive cash can be redeemed each month in as a e-gift card to your choice of retailers such as Amazon, Apple, VISA, Google, and more. You’ll also be invited to special events like live video focus groups or video recorded customer journeys or fun journal projects… that could earn you up to $100 each if you are selected.

I filled it out then a quick screen said I wasn't 18.    I was born in 1963.   I feel it is a scam to get us to fill out their lengthy survey.

that sounds like a scam, and you have to do quite a bit of research to find where an email comes from.

I got the same email and the same sketchy feeling!  The first thing to tip me off was the sending email: noreply@qemailserver.com
