Advice for Best Re-installation of CC?

Hi All,

I just scoured Adobe CC and as much Adobe stuff as possible from my sluggish iMac. I also used that Adobe Cleaner Tool and give the iMac a good run-through with the Onyx utility.

Now I'd like to re-install CC and some of its apps again—but just the ones that I need.

Can any of you good folks give recommendations on the cleanest way to do it? I'd like to minimise the amount of (possibly spurious) stuff that it might put back onto on my iMac.

For example:

  • the Adobe Desktop Assistant chews up quite a lot of RAM and I'm not even sure how necessary it is. Maybe it's unavoidable?
  • there's some Core thing
  • some sort of Sync thing

I'm looking forward to your thoughts on this

John

some of the cc programs are available by direct download.  if those are all you want:

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

Updates

  • Download and installation help for Adobe links

  • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!

Hi There,

Thanks for the replies

I still have a Creative Cloud subscription and can download anything I like from it, but I'm wondering what's the cleanest way of doing it.

As I said, I'm worried about the amount of peripheral stuff that will get installed that might affect my iMac's performance and clutter it up.
